Lori-Ellen (Lorielle) has been practising in natural health (acupuncture & remedial massage) for 18 years and ran a successful multi-disciplinary health clinic in Christchurch, NZ. She trained in NZ before travelling to Sydney to complete her Masters in Health Science (Chinese Medicine) focusing on women’s health and musculo-skeletal pain.
She has taught undergraduates in Chinese medicine since 2006 in both NZ and Australia (including at Endeavour in Adelaide) and has quite the passion for learning, writing & research. She has regularly lectured in gynaecology & obstetrics with published research papers over the last seven years on women’s health including; nausea & vomiting in pregnancy, menopause & frozen shoulder and IVF & mental health. More recently she is writing the health column for the Fleurieu Living magazine. In 2020 she will be studying for her Masters in herbal medicine training and is now a Chinese medicine clinical advisor for the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
In her treatment she aims to clearly explain how acupuncture can be of assistance while being realistic of its strengths & limitations. Integration with biomedicine is an essential part of good health – taking the best from both has the potential to lead to better outcomes.
I will work optimistically to get results for your health. I’ll give you feedback and encourage you to aim high in a way that is helpful and practical. I like to try fresh ideas for solving problems and have the ability to look at the bigger picture. We will work as a team and I trust that you will uphold your part by building your confidence that your health outcomes can be reality.
Personally Lori-Ellen enjoys the simple, contented things in life; family, good food, friendships, yoga, running, biking and surfing. Goes well with a passionate vocation!
